Mike Wilder-Boyle County
KCA President Mike Wilder has served as a Boyle County Deputy Coroner for over 44 years. He served as the Executive Secretary of the Kentucky Coroner’s Association for 30 years, is a former Executive Director of the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office, and is an original member of the Kentucky State Mass Fatality Team currently serving as Deputy Coordinator.
Mike currently serves as Director of Emergency Management for Danville/Boyle County, was the on-scene coordinator for the team assisting with body recovery of human remains during Hurricane Katrina, assisted with the recovery of 49 human remains from the Comair Flight 5191 airline crash at Lexington/Bluegrass airport. He has been the owner and operator of Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville, KY for 40 years.

John Northcutt- Rowan County
John Northcutt has been the Rowan County Coroner since 1993. He has served as KCA President twice in 2001-2002 and 2009-2010. He has served as a member of the KY Coroners/Medical Examiners Incident Response Team since 1999, and has participated in numerous events such as the 1999 medical helicopter crash in Breathitt County with 5 victims, New Orleans Hurricane Katrina in 2005 with 250 victims, 2006 private airplane crash along Breathitt/Perry County line with 7 victims, Comair Flight 5191 in 2006 with 49 victims, and the residential house fire in Bardstown, KY in 2007 with 10 victims.
His professional education and awards include Graduate of Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science in 1982, Wayne State University School of Medicine “Medico-Legal Investigation of Death” 2003, University of Tennessee Forensic Anthropology Center ‘the Body Farm”, Outdoor Recovery in Forensic Anthropology 2010, Delaware State Police Medico-Legal Death Investigation Basic Techniques in Forensic Pathology 2011. He is a member of the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners since 2001. John is an Instructor at the KY State Police Academy “Death Notification and the Coroner’s Role” since 2003, is a Presenter for Morehead State University’s “Death and Dying classes”, is an Assistant Fire Chief with Morehead Fire Department, and is Vice-President of Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, KY.
